Hand forged outdoor hawk.
It is ideal for harvesting pine chips, for example, or for quickly making some tinder for a campfire. It also handles larger branch cross-sections with ease.
The hatchet is made in the full-tang, integral style, meaning it is forged and forged by hand from a single piece of steel (C45). I steeled the cutting edge with 1.2842 carbon steel for greater hardness. The handle scales are made of robinia wood and were carved by hand from a 30mm thick plank using a draw knife without any mechanical help. I left the wood natural and just oiled it. The pins are also forged by hand and made of wrought bronze.
Due to the Integral style, the design is naturally quite modern. Nevertheless, there is a hint of an "Old World" weapon, also because of the rough forged parts, and the shape is extremely flowing and harmonious.
